Before we begin filling sections of a pattern we need to determine which parts need to be filled. In the example above you can clearly see what impact a solid fill can have on this pattern.

Other CPT Techniques such as Single Fold, Folded, Aura, and Paradox can be applied to fill sections of a pattern.
Another option is to use shapes, such as circles, spirals, drops, S-Shapes, C-Shapes etc to fill. Or you use patterns to fill the sections. At pattern-collections, we have a category dedicated to Filler Patterns.
