Announcing Italian Week

Is quarantine getting to you? Even though I spent most of my day drawing, I still feel a little depressed. It’s time to add some fun to our daily pattern focus!

Announcing Italian Week!

So …. when you think Italy, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Spaghetti of course!

Day 1 – Monday, April 13

Let’s do some weaving đŸ™‚

CPT Weaving

Weaving is explained in more detail in this write-up: CPT Technique: Weaving

Day 2 – Tuesday, April 14

The second thought goes straight to Italian ice-cream (don’t ask about my obsession with food LOL).

I found step-by-step instructions on how to draw an ice-cream cone right here: How to draw an ice cream

Ice Cream Template

The daily pattern focus is on Tropflis by Dörte Seupel-Kör, You can fill the template with any of the patterns from the Filler Section of the website.

Day 3 – Wednesday, April 15

The daily pattern focus is on Mac & Cheese by Sandra Strait – more food LOL

Day 4 – Thursday, April 16

Italy is not only known for good food, but also for the art! One artist I really admire is Carlo CarrĂ¡.

I think his artwork is a great inspiration! This art style is called Futurism.

The challenge for today is: be inspired by this art style, and the daily pattern focus is on No-T-angle by Silke Wagner.

Day 5 – Friday, April 17

Thinking of our Italian pattern designer … Simona Cordara. Let’s pick one of her patterns for today’s pattern focus: OWLO.

For the upcoming weekend, I will think of the next topic that is on my to-do list đŸ™‚

Stay home, stay safe and stay healthy!

Hugs,
Ina & Nicole

Zoom audio is just terrible on my device. I tried headphones, but that didn’t work. So, I’m looking into getting captions. The next big problem is WiFi. It works fine for all my other apps, but for some reason it goes in and out on Zoom. The picture freezes up and everything becomes garbled. If worse comes to worse, would anyone be willing to draw with me on FB Messenger just for fun sometime during the week?
