Lost your Mojo?
Are you sitting in front of a blank page and just don’t know where to start? Started a drawing but you can’t get it flowing?
We all have been there! And we all have good advice when it happens to someone else. Funny enough, most of us don’t remember the good advice we gave to others when our Mojo disappears. 🙂
My first advice is: Force yourself to happiness!
Creative Pattern Tangling starts with smiling for 60 seconds. This simple exercise produces feel-good neurotransmitters like dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin. Smiling lowers your blood pressure and heart rate. During the 60 seconds, control your breathing to establish a stable rhythm. On the count of 4, breathe into your chest, and breathe out slowly to the count of 6. Maintain this rhythm throughout your CPT session. Rhythmic breathing puts you in a positive emotional state and provides your brain with a constant regulated supply of oxygen.
Dawn Collins posted a video a while ago that helped many tanglers to get unstuck:
How about starting with a Mandala? I prepared templates ready for download. Print, Smile, Breathe, Draw 🙂

Warm-up with practice sheets:
I prepared a 2 page .pdf for you that contains all the common shapes used in tangling!

Notice how easy it is to draw your signature the same every single time? It does not matter if you write the signature small or large, with a thick or thin pen. It always looks the same. This is due to the muscle memory you have developed. If this works with your signature, it works in the same manner with any shape!
How long does it take to develop muscle memory?
Not long at all! Practice the shape that you want to improve every single day for 5 days in a row. Only a couple of minutes will be sufficient. After the third day, you will already notice a difference. But don’t stop now! We want to embed this into your long term memory. Keep practicing the shape for another couple of days.
How about treating yourself to one of the eBooks?
They will definitely inspire you! Mehndi Tangle Art is a free download!
These are just a few ideas. I will be adding to this page continuously.
Your comments are very much appreciated!
Hugs,
Ina
