New rules for pattern submissions
Good morning.
I am so sorry that I have to post once again and fill up your mailbox.
Most pattern designers are already a member of our Facebook group dedicated to pattern design and approval. To make my life easier, I am now starting a new class, teaching people how to design a pattern and create a pattern step-out.
Teaching each individual is an impossible task. It takes way too much of my time.
Today I am starting a new lesson plan. If you want to become a pattern designer, now is the time to join. In the future, I will only accept new patterns from members of the group. Yes, you must have a Facebook account in order to communicate with the group!
Click the image to join the group.
No prior experience is necessary!
You learn:
- how to create a pattern.
- how to create step-by-step instructions.
- how to deconstruct a pattern.
- what is required in the artwork that is posted with the step-out.
- how to submit a pattern.
You will also learn by reading all the comments made on new pattern submissions, and together help me teach others by adding your own comments.
Creating new patterns is fun! Don’t miss out š
Hugs,
Ina
I’d love to do this but when I click the image I only get an enlarged image – it did not take me anywhere to join
Hi Alice.
A minute after I hit the button, I realized that the link in the email is broken. It’s been fixed since. But just in case, here is the link to the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PatternDesigners/. Lesson 1 has already been posted š
I enjoy your blog and weekly emails very much. I would love learn how to design but am not on Facebook and do not want a Facebook account. It would be great if you could also put the lessons up on your blog as well. Iām sure it would be much appreciated by those of us who have no desire to be on Facebook. Thank you.
Hi Karen.
As these lessons require instant feedback, I won’t post them on the blog for a long time.
Facebook is the means I chose to communicate with tanglers. You can always open a dedicated Facebook account (use a fake name even without revealing anything about yourself)?
Thank you , thank you! I’ve been suffering from Artist’s Block for almost a year now. This has got to help!
Hi Carla. Oh yes, there is no room for artist’s block LOL Join in the fun! You will get inspired!
